Finally I am travelling and talking to and about my hometown, but as often the case about your hometown, there is be a long story to tell. But this blog is not about psychotherapy. In consequence and since running the blog I was waiting for my first trip to Eckernförde in order to write about this little precious place up on the Baltic shore in the north of Germany….
An island in the far north of Germany. I have been traveling there regularly for the last 15 years and have kind of fallen in love with this place. When thinking of Sylt many love it’s outstanding and varying landscape. Others love and live it’s outstanding offer for the rich and beautiful with pricing for houses exceeding almost every other around the nation….
What seems to be an eastern dump of 56 inhabitants right across the former border between East and West-Germany turns out to be a spot rich in hospitality, laid-back attitude and an openness I would not have expected. And forget about the accidentally displaced species such as the invisible king-crabs offshore in Norway. Check this!…

You may get bored with me yelling out „what a surprise!“, but again, I have to say – Transnistria – what a surprise! Before I left Bucharest I had read an article headlined „Transnistria, the next war zone in Europe?“. You can imagine how impressed and afraid I was of leaving there an hour later….
